Jim Monroe is a landscape designer, TV host, Horticulture industry consultant, grower and garden retailer. 

With 40 years of experience in nearly every facet of Horticulture, he brings a unique perspective to the industry. His award winning landscape designs are his true passion. His plant based design theories are on trend as people are wanting to be outdoors more in softer, flowering spaces instead of hardscaped, harsh spaces.

Jim is a well known industry speaker, advocate for the independent garden retailers and has developed many successful plants into the trade. He has named over 200 cultivars and has managed large patent estates, created global supply chains for new products and been the genesis of creative marketing and branding of new plants. 

Jim has been awarded the HILA award for Horticulture Leadership and numerous other national, state and local business recognitions.

Nursery and Annual Grower- producer of over 35 acres of container woody ornamentals specializing in Conifers, Boxwoods and Maples.

Landscape Design- tasteful, sophisticated design work on some the premier properties in the lower mid-Atlantic.

Seed & Supplies- operated wholesale distributor of seeds, supplies and chemicals.  

Sales & Brokerage- has worked with nearly all of the worlds leading distributors, breeders and brokerage companies on sales and marketing projects.
